Eye in The Sky

Regi: Stein Henningsen, Ina Otzko · Längd: 00:18:00 ·
Land: Norway

What kind of sovereignty is
possible in an age of satellites? On the 100th anniversary of the Svalbard
Treaty, artists Ina Otzko and Stein Henningsen present EYE IN THE SKY — a short
film that investigates the silent mechanisms of power and presence in the
Arctic today. EYE IN THE SKY is not a documentary, but a poetic, political
reflection on a shifting geopolitical landscape. The film unfolds across sound
and vision to ask urgent questions: What happens when industrial presence ends
— and digital presence takes over? What remains of sovereignty when decisions
are made elsewhere, and enforced from above? And what kind of peace are we
building in a world of constant surveillance? As Norway’s last coal mine on
Svalbard shuts down in June 2025, the film captures this moment of transition —
from resource extraction to signal extraction. “Svalbard is no longer a
periphery,” the artists say. “It’s a strategic center. Power today is exercised
not through flags and armies, but through infrastructure, observation, and
access.” EYE IN THE SKY invites viewers to look again — not just at Svalbard,
but at the global systems of mapping, monitoring, and governance that shape our
shared future.

Swimming
Hall

Regi: Anni Suikkanen, Toni Kristian Tikkanen · Längd: 00:15:15 · Land:
Finland

A poetic short documentary
about the experience of swimming in a public swimming hall. At its center is
the old public indoor swimming pool of a small Finnish town, cherished by its
swimmers as the most beautiful in the world. For its visitors, it is an almost
timeless sanctuary, a place where visiting is a meaningful, delicate experience
and a ritual. Now, as the hall faces the threat of demolition, customers of
different ages and from several decades look back on their moments there.
Swimming Hall is a universal story told through one pool, capturing all the
shades of life.

where Kim must find creative ways to save it – and himself.

Pact with the Clouds

Regi: Mounir Ould Setti, Yirka Roldan · Längd:
00:10:34 · Land: Finland

A meditative,
close-to-the-wing portrait of winch-launched paragliding. Leevi Salin, Santeri
Kemppi, and Mika Viljanmaa share what draws them into the air. Guided by calm
narration and textured ambient sound, the film traces the small rituals of
preparing to fly and the headspace of staying aloft. Directed by Mounir Ould
Setti and Yirka Roldan, it’s a minimalist ode to free flight.

Life

short film that explores the tension between our online persona and real life.
We follow Sara , a new mother struggling with a deep addiction to social media.
She is intent on presenting the ”perfect life” on Instagram, but what
exactly is the good life? As she posts and interacts with her followers, her
baby cries inconsolably in the background. Her partner Peter steps in and tries
to restore the family’s balance. Sara loves her family, but her addiction
creates tension in the relationship. The question arises: can they find a
balance between the online world and real life, or will Sara’s pursuit of likes
cost her what really matters?
